Film
O Street Capital seeks out films that inspire conversations and push boundaries.
We invest in films from creative and driven artists that want to tell unique stories. Our portfolio includes The Preppie Connection (2015), detailing the true story of a group of private school students who ran a drug distribution network in the early 1980s, Perception (2019), an award-winning short film about immigration from two distinct and conflicting points of view, Synchronic (2021), a thrilling, award-winning short film about time travel and the choices we all make, and Roe v. Wade (2021), a feature film documenting the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision.
Octavius Prince seeks out atypical and multi-layered roles such as pro-choice attorney Cyril Means in Roe v. Wade and white supremacist Robert in Perception, for which he won the Best Supporting Actor in the Omaha Latino Film Festival.
By taking on a role like Robert in Perception, a film about immigration reform, Octavius seeks to encourage critical thinking around controversial, relevant and complex issues that are deeply rooted in the moment and within the culture of our country.
Octavius’s latest short film, Synchronic, follows a husband and wife as their marriage drifts apart, and a strange yet familiar man threatens their livelihood with a time-altering weapon of the future. It appeared at many festivals and garnered many awards including:
Miami Independent Film Festival
Saint Augustine Film Festival
Film Miami Fest
